Mission Statement

Building stronger families and brighter futures for children throughout New Hampshire through generosity, collaboration, and gratitude.

Goal

The Mark Stebbins Community Center will be home to several nonprofit organizations that will provide collaborative services under one roof in an accessible, central location for families and individuals on the West Side of Manchester.

The Need

Manchester's West Side, which consists of all parts of the city west of the Merrimack River, is home to 25% of Manchester's population. Manchester's West Side is a high-density urban area marked by pockets of high and extreme poverty. Although poverty is a challenge throughout Manchester, the West Side poverty rate has increased at a higher level. What exacerbates the West Side's circumstances is the extreme lack of accessible resources and services compared to other parts of the city.

Defining / Understanding the Needs

Our Community Needs analysis identifies these nine areas of greatest needs on the West Side: Economic Stability, Neighborhood/Physical Environment, Education, Food, Community & Social Context, Medical Health Care, Behavioral Health & Substance Use Disorder Treatment, Social Services, and Housing.
